Services rendered by a podiatrist are covered by most insurance plans, whether group employer, private or university Insurance plans. We help our patients get informed about their insurance coverage, in order to ensure that they in turn are making informed decisions in planning and coordinating their treatment. We will explain to you how your insurance functions and how much the benefits are for each of the treatments provided in the clinic including routine medical foot care, surgeries, and custom-made foot orthotics. We also will provide you with all the forms needed for reimbursement and will assist you in filing them.
We will provide you with a receipt containing a breakdown of procedures performed during that visit. This receipt is usually sufficient for all insurance companies. Some insurance companies require a “letter of medical necessity” especially for custom-made orthotics. Dr El-Onsi can provide you with this and any other documentation that your insurance company would require to expedite your benefit payment.
